New Trail Town Certified Network Members and Future Networking Opportunities

Within the past two months the Trail Town Outreach Fellows have been busy growing the Trail Town Certified Network.  In this time we have had fifteen new members join the Network and thirteen of those members lie on the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail System! These new members will not only be able to begin networking amongst themselves but with other members along other major trail corridors.

This October and November the Trail Town Program® will be hosting two networking and informational summits. On Monday October 27th in Cumberland, MD, the members from the Great Allegheny Passage and the C&O Canal Trail will meet at the Fairfield Inn & Suites. The topics of this summit will include local foods and off-seasons solutions. You will be able to learn how to incorporate local foods to help support your local economy and promote sustainable measures. The off-season can be a low traffic time for many towns. We will discuss practices and tips that will help you take advantage of the off season period

On Wednesday November 5th in Oil City, PA members of the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail will be meeting at the Oil City Days Inn. The topics that will be featured at this summit will include information on the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail system as well as marketing efforts. This will include social media and how to target your audience.
