Few more volunteers needed – Trail Counts

EPT Trail PhotoLast year two synchronized trail counts took place at popular trail access areas on the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail. Volunteers were located at trailheads between Titusville and Foxburg to measure trail traffic and collect zip code data from cyclists. Last year, volunteers tracked visitors from across western PA as well as the Cleveland and Akron areas and both North and South Carolinas.

Trail Town Program® is now recruiting volunteers for four upcoming trail counts in 2016, starting in May. The synchronized counts will take place on the following dates and times:

  • Sunday May 29th – 1:00PM to 3:00PM
  • Monday June 27th – 4:00PM to 6:00PM
  • Thursday August 18th – 4:00PM to 6:00PM
  • Saturday September 24th – 10:00AM to 12:00PM

Rain dates have been established for the following day and time for all four sessions. Volunteers are still needed in a few locations at the following trailheads: Titusville/Jersey Bridge , Oil City 5/29 only, Emlenton, and Foxburg.
